Following last year’s Central Oregon Chamber Orchestra performance of Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3, we are pleased to perform another work by this fantastic nineteenth century French composer, her Concert Overture No. 2. Jumping across the border to Spain, and forward three-quarters of a century, we will hear the soulful strains and driving rhythms of Spanish dance music drawn from Manuel de Falla’s ballet The Three-Cornered Hat. Additionally, the winners of the Central Oregon Symphony Association Young Artist Competition will be featured in this concert. Winners have been announced. See announcement here.
