Announcing Our Fall Concert: A New Season, A New Venue, Same Timeless Symphony
As the leaves begin to change and the crisp air of fall sets in, we are thrilled to announce the start of our 2024-2025 season! This season comes with some significant changes, but one thing remains constant — the music.
Fall Concert Series
Our 2024-2025 season kicks off with an orchestra showcase concert. Two major works will highlight the broad palate of instruments, techniques and sounds that are possible with the modern symphony. The Romeo and Juliet Suite No. 2, drawn from Sergei Prokofiev’s landmark ballet, is a seven-movement tour of brilliant colors and clever orchestration techniques capturing several moods and characters of the tragic tale. Johannes Brahms’ legendary and storied Symphony No. 1 will conclude the festivities.
This year, we are performing at a new venue — Caldera High School Auditorium. After the sudden demolition of our beloved home at Bend Senior High School’s auditorium in July, we’ve had to make a significant change. While this marks the end of an era, it is also a fresh start. We are so grateful for your support during this transition.
Concert Dates:
Saturday, November 2nd | 2 PM & 7:30 PM
Sunday, November 3rd | 2 PM
Caldera High School Auditorium
New Venue, New Ticketing System
With our new, smaller performance space, we have introduced a new ticketing system to ensure all our members can enjoy the concerts. Seating is limited, so it's important to secure your tickets early through our online platform, Eventbrite.

Community Fall Events
We’re not just offering our fall concert series this season — we’re also excited to bring you a lineup of community events. These include Music in Public Places, Spotlight Recital Fundraiser, and our Music Masters Series. Swipe through our event listings below for details on how to get involved.
Music in Public Places
Enjoy free live chamber music performances at various local venues:
November 9, 2 PM | Dove String Quartet at Prineville Public Library, Alpenglow Reed Trio at Sunriver Public Library, and Cascade Chamber Players at High Desert Music Hall in Redmond
These performances are family-friendly, last about an hour, and require no tickets.
Spotlight Recital Fundraiser
On October 5th at 7 PM, join us for a Spotlight Recital Fundraiser at Wille Hall, COCC in Bend. We’ll be featuring Ryan Zwahlen, our Principal Oboe, and pianist Gary Ruppert. This fundraiser is vital as we work to recover $10,000 in equipment losses due to the demolition of Bend Senior High School’s auditorium.
Admission is free, but we encourage donations — both at the event and online — to support the continuation of our community’s beloved symphony. RSVP by October 5th.
Music Masters Series
On November 23rd, our Music Masters Series highlights violinist Casey Bozell and violist Darian Todd, alongside pianist Gary Ruppert. We invite violin and viola students of all ages to attend a masterclass at 10 AM, followed by a recital at 7 PM. Both events are free and will be held at Wille Hall, COCC in Bend. RSVP by November 20th.
See You At the Symphony
We will continue to bring you a full season of concerts this year, including fall, winter, and spring symphony concerts, and a chamber orchestra concert. Stay tuned for more announcements.
Please note, in order to prioritize our valued members, we will not be offering complimentary tickets this year. This ensures that our members receive the best possible experience with guaranteed seating.
We are grateful for your support and look forward to sharing another season of timeless symphonic music with you!
